AI Navigation for Real-World Mobility

Guidance is not a map read aloud. It is knowing what stands between you and the next corner.
Turn-by-turn navigation assumes the pavement is empty. It rarely is. Phoenix Eye works from map data and from what its cameras see at the same time, so guidance accounts for the parked scooter, the roadworks, the kerb that drops without warning. The difference matters most on routes you have not walked before, where there is nothing memorised to fall back on. Testing has shown that phrasing carries as much weight as accuracy: a direction given two seconds too late is worse than none, and one given in the wrong order forces you to stop and reconstruct it.
